Main Street Capital Holdings Acquires W&W Dairy
Leading Private-label Producer of Hispanic Cheeses and Dairy Products
PITTSBURGH, PA – April 11, 2018 – Main Street Capital Holdings, LLC, a private investment firm specializing in acquisitions of growth-oriented companies, announced that it has acquired W&W Dairy, LLC, a leading private-label producer of Hispanic cheeses from its three founding partners. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
W&W Dairy produces Queso Fresco, Cotija, Quesadilla, Panela and other cheese varieties within the high-growth Hispanic cheese market. The company operates out of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Monroe, Wisconsin. W&W’s diversified customer base includes Hispanic food distributors and direct to retail accounts in the U.S. and Canada.
Franz Hofmeister was named President and Chief Executive Officer of W&W Dairy immediately following the acquisition. Mr. Hofmeister has over thirty-five years of experience in the perishable foods and consumer packaged goods industry. He has been a Main Street Operating Partner since the late 1990s and he has served as CEO and President of two highly successful prior Main Street investments in Lloyd’s Barbeque and Wisconsin Cheese Group.
